Check the Equipment:
Before starting, inspect the pallet jack to ensure it’s in good working condition.
Check that the wheels, fork mechanism, and handles are functioning properly.
Positioning:
Approach the pallet and align the forks with the openings on the pallet.
Make sure the fork is fully inserted under the pallet, ideally halfway or more.
Lifting:
Use the pump handle to lift the pallet. This usually involves pumping the handle up and down to raise the forks.
Stop once the pallet is lifted a few inches from the ground, ensuring it is secure and balanced.
